Copyright and Licensing Policy

Authors who publish in Al-Adalah: Jurnal Hukum dan Politik Islam retain the copyright to their work.

By submitting a manuscript and upon its acceptance for publication, authors grant the journal the right of first publication. Published articles are simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) License, which permits anyone to copy, distribute, reproduce, adapt, and build upon the work for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the journal, a link to the license is provided, and any modifications are clearly indicated. Any derivative works must be distributed under the same license.

Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for the distribution of the published version of their work (for example, by depositing it in an institutional repository or including it in a book), provided that the original publication in Al-Adalah: Jurnal Hukum dan Politik Islam is properly acknowledged.

Authors are encouraged to disseminate their work through institutional repositories, personal websites, or other non-commercial academic platforms before, during, and after the submission process, as such dissemination may increase the visibility, accessibility, and scholarly impact of their research.
